44 Porsche Taycan cars recalled in Saudi Arabia due to a defect in the battery casing – Cars, the first Arab website for cars

Cars – The Ministry of Commerce in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced a new recall of cars this November. The recall this time includes one of the luxury electric models for sale in the Kingdom. The model is specifically the 2023 Porsche Taycan Electric.
The recall was carried out in cooperation between the Ministry of Commerce and Porsche’s agent in the Kingdom, Samaco Company. The recall includes 44 2023 Porsche Taycan vehicles.
The Ministry of Commerce explained the reason for the recall, which was a defect in the insulation cover of the vehicle’s high-voltage batteries. This may lead to fluid leakage. This may cause an electrical short in addition to the risk of fire.
The Ministry of Commerce called on owners of defective cars to verify that the vehicle’s chassis number is included in the recall through the Recalls.sa website. It also asked them to contact Samaco, the Porsche agent in Saudi Arabia, to carry out the necessary repairs free of charge.
