The 2024 Acura TLX facelift launches with minor changes before the era of the extinction of the sedan – Cars, the first Arab car website
Cars – The 2024 Acura TLX facelift was unveiled. This is considered the first facelift for the second generation of the car, which was introduced for the first time in 2021. Acura reduced the categories of the car and made minor changes in the design and technology inside the cabin and equipment.
The Technology Package is now standard equipment, including a built-in navigation system and an ELS Studio premium sound system. It also has a blind spot monitoring system, 19-inch wheels, LED cabin lighting, and a Milanese leather interior.
The car also has a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a power of 272 horsepower and a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The car with this technology package is only available with front-wheel drive. Anyone who wants SH-AWD with the base engine will need to upgrade to the A-Spec version. The Advanced model with adaptive suspension has also been excluded from the lineup. Acura hasn’t announced pricing yet, but the TLX will become more expensive now that the Technology Package is standard.
The flagship TLX Type S, which represents 25% of TLX sales, will continue to use a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6, an engine that produces 355 hp. The car received minor updates, including a new 20-inch wheel design with summer tires and improved throttle response in Sport+ driving mode. Inside, a head-up display and surround-view camera are now standard. A handcrafted TLX Type S PMC edition will also return in 2024.
All categories get an upgraded front fascia with a frameless Diamond Pentagon grille and a mesh pattern. While inside, there is a 12.3-inch dual-screen display that is 20% larger. It is also available with a standard 12.3-inch Precision Cockpit digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, and remote start.
Two new colors have also been added: Urban Gray Pearl in the A-Spec version and Carbon Metallic in the Type S with the Technology Package.
Other small changes include thicker upholstery, wheel chocks, and door dampers that reduce road noise. Acoustic glass was also added to reduce wind noise. The brand has also improved the Active Sound Control (ASC) noise cancellation system to further quiet the cabin.
Improvements have also been made to its AcuraWatch safety suite, including improved object detection. The TLX got a new front camera that features a wider field of view of 90 degrees compared to 50 degrees previously. It also provides a millimeter-wave radar in the network with a view of 120 degrees, compared to 50 degrees previously.
The 2024 Acura TLX will be manufactured in Marysville, Ohio. It will arrive at dealerships in November 2024, and prices will be announced closer to the commercial reveal.
